The nonprofit is devoted to develop the cognitive and social growth of young children, through chess and scientific education. Our overarching objective is to deliver accessible and engaging programs crafted to ignite a passion for learning, empower young minds, and establish a foundation for lifelong success.
Hello, I am Jonathan Chen. I became a Chess National Master at the age of 10, and subsequently attained the title of FIDE Master by the age of 13. I hold the distinction of being a two-time National Grade Champion and the 2021 National Middle School Co-champion. Commencing my journey in chess at the age of 4 1/2, the game has evolved into a cornerstone of my life, fostering invaluable friendships and rivals and affording me the opportunity to explore over 20 countries through international competitions. I made the decision to establish a nonprofit organization last year, so students passionate about chess can collectively contribute to our shared mission. Over the past three years, I have dedicated my time to chess volunteering, guiding and improving the skills of numerous children. Additionally, my organization and I have organized various successful fundraising activities and events. Collaborating closely with the US Chess Federation At-Risk Youth program, our initiative aims to facilitate chess education for children from underserved communities. With our volunteers mostly enthusiastic chess players, together we are working to achieve the goals of promoting chess, especially to children who need help.
Our non profit organization is run by the students. Our leadership team welcome all the students who are willing to help others to join us.
We partner with organizations that have alignment in values, shared goals, and a commitment to the cause. A strong partnership between us can amplify impact, enhance resources, and foster a collaborative environment for meaningful change.
